We believe work opportunities provide hope and a chance for achieving success to ex-offenders. The probability of the ex-offender returning to jail or prison is directly related to his or her ability to secure meaningful employment within the first 30 days of their release. In addition to employment the matching of a mentor to help the ex-offender change their way of thinking and living is vital to becoming a productive member of the community. We believe the spiritual mentoring of the ex-offender is what will make our program different from any other programs in the area.
A direct correlation exists between gainful, sustained employment and the ability of a former inmate to remain crime-free. Quickly getting offenders into full-time employment upon release is good for employers, offenders, their families and every citizen of Allen County and the state of Indiana.
Partnerships with employers are critical to making reentry a success. Everyone benefits when qualified workers can earn a living, become productive citizens and contribute to society.
